Before booking: collect the practical details
Have the patient’s details, the test names or prescription, and the collection address ready. If you are booking for a parent or another family member, confirm whose sample is being collected before proceeding.
Use the test directory to understand names on a prescription. Then compare the current lab options for the tests you have selected. A lab must offer the full selection for it to appear as an option for that cart.
Compare more than the headline test price
Look at the laboratory’s price, accreditation status, collection options and report estimate. Home collection is available only for eligible tests and addresses; a Raipur location alone does not guarantee a slot.
ApnaPatho’s home collection fee is ₹99 for orders below ₹1,500 and free for orders of ₹1,500 or more. Review the total at checkout. If a test is only offered as a walk-in, do not assume the collection fee can convert it into a home appointment.
Before the visit: confirm preparation and timing
Check the instructions for the whole booking. Ask the lab or clinician about any fasting requirement, timed sample or medicine question before the appointment. A post-meal blood sugar test, for example, needs a timing plan with the lab.
Keep the patient available during the selected collection window and provide a clear address. If your plans change, check the booking status and contact support so the collection arrangement can be discussed.
At collection: verify the patient and requested tests
Have the booking details ready and confirm the patient’s name and requested tests with the collection professional. Tell them if the preparation instructions were not followed so they can check the next step before collection.
For urine or stool samples, arrange the container and collection instructions in advance. Confirm whether pickup is available or the sample must be delivered to the lab. Do not collect a sample first and then leave it waiting while you look for a slot.
After collection: check the booking and report status
The partner laboratory performs the testing. The report estimate belongs to the selected lab and tests, so avoid planning around a blanket same-day promise.
Once the laboratory uploads the report, access it through your ApnaPatho account. Share it with the clinician responsible for your care. Support can help with booking or report access; interpretation and treatment decisions belong with your clinician.
